Steffen Justus was in third place just less than 30 seconds behind Appleton as they left the bike/run transition area.

At about the 10k mark of the run Justus had gained control of second place and closed to within about 2:30 of Bozzone the leader.

However there was no catching Terenzo Bozzone and he crosses the finish line first in the Ironman 70.3 Bahrain results 2016 and is the 70.3 Middle East Champion.

It’s quite a display of recovery for Bozzone. He also won Ironman Western Australia 2016 just one week ago. That’s a pretty amazing accomplishment considering the caliber of the field in this race.

His time in the Ironman last week was 7:51…..
