Ironman 70.3 Boulder results 2014

There was certainly no problem selling out the race in Boulder in record time as triathletes know that it’s very possible to post a personal best in the Ironman 70.3 Boulder results 2014.

The course is lightning fast as you can see from the Ironman 70.3 Boulder 2013 results.

Joe Gambles won in a spectacular time and it’s interesting to note that the top five male pros all came in under the 3:34 mark.

Melissa Hauschildt took the title for the pro women in a time of 4:04.

Hauschildt will not be on hand to defend her 2013 title, but Joe Gambles is and he will have to beat some pretty good opposition to retain his title.

Here are the pro start lists for 2014.

It was a pack of five pro men hitting the first transition practically together.

Defending champion Joe Gambles, Callum Millward, Richie Cunningham, Kevin Collington, and Paul Matthews were all in the mix as they began the 66-mile bike course.

However it was Joe Gambles the defending champion who took control of the race on the bike course with a time of 2:03:03 that was three minutes faster than anyone else.

It was enough to give him the win by just two minutes over Tim Don who was charging but ran out of time.

Don posted a spectacular run time of 1:11:49.

Jeanni Seymour
Laura Bennett
Jodie Swallow
Whitney Garcia Mccain
Sarah Graves
Mandy McLane

To nobody’s surprise it was Jodie Swallow in front by almost a minute after the 1.2-mile swim with a time of 23:59.

Leanda Cave and Laura Bennett were in second and third place with identical times of 24:53.

The great swim was all Jody Swallow needed to keep her in the lead. She didn’t post the fastest bike or run times of the day but managed to be consistent in all three disciplines and it gave her the victory by just over a minute.

Rachel Joyce had the fastest bike split of the day but came up just a little short and finished in second place. Leanda Cave rounded out the top three.
