I hope you enjoy these Ironman Hawaii 2014 images.
I couldn’t fit them all onto my Ironman Hawaii 2014 World Champion results page so I decided to build a specific post for all the images so everyone can have a look at them and enjoy them.
These copyright images were taken by Tessa Capistrano and Jordan Bryden and they are both excellent photographers. Jordan is also a pro triathlete.
Drop by Jordan’s website and have a look at his extraordinary triathlon images.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the WTC for Ironstruck Media passes.
Be sure to also visit the Ironmanlive website for all the information on current, past, and upcoming Ironman events.
It seemed like the last few years was producing so many great pro triathletes that in any given race it was getting harder and harder to pick the winner.
The days of Dave Scott, Mark Allen, Paula Newby-Fraser and Chrissie Wellington and their multiple wins in Hawaii would seldom, or perhaps never, happen again.
I guess nobody thought to tell Mirinda Carfrae who has not only won three times, but has won the last two years back-to-back. Who knows, by this time next year Rinny might well have her sights set on win number four in 2015 to match Chrissie Wellington’s four victories.
What a year Daniela Ryf has had. She won race after race and came into Kona coming off a win in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship 2014 in Mont-Tremblant.
She was so close to winning the extremely difficult double Championship and it took a spectacular effort by Mirinda Carfrae to deny her.
What an epic race by both these pro women.
