Ironman New York age-group results 2012

There were almost 1000 age-group athletes in the Saturday August 11, 2012 running of the inaugural Ironman New York entered in their first Ironman and there were many excellent performances.

Although the times may not appear as fast as most Ironman races, the marathon course was basically the reason for it and all the run times were slower than usual including the pros.

As a matter of fact, pro triathlete Jordan Rapp was the only athlete to run the marathon under 3:00 hours and he just made it with a 2:59:21 clocking.

Congratulation to all those age-groupers who took part in Ironman New York and a special “well done” to those who crossed the Ironman finish line for the very first time.

Exceptional race by Carmen Grosse. She posted a sensational time of 10:24:02 and she is in the 50-54 age-group. That was good enough to make her the fourth fastest age-group women across the finish line in all categories.
